Person On Subway Tracks Stalls Brooklyn Commuters, MTA Says
Service was halted on 2 and 5 trains Wednesday morning as MTA officials chased down an unauthorized person near the Sterling Street stop.
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Commuters were stuck on stalled 2 and 5 trains Wednesday morning as MTA workers chased an unauthorized person on the subway tracks, officials said.
MTA officials suspended 2 and 5 train service in south Brooklyn after someone was spotted on the tracks near the Sterling Street station at about 10 a.m., according to an MTA tweet.
Southbound 2 and 5 trains were redirected to the 3 and 4 lines between Franklin and New Lots avenues and some southbound 5 train service ended at Bowling Green.

MTA officials warned straphangers to expect delays and suggested riders take the B44 bus for service between President Street and Flatbush Ave/Brooklyn College.
Several straphangers took to social media to report stalled commutes.
