Photos Of Prospect Park Rape Suspect Released By Cops

Police released photos of the man who they believe raped a woman near the Prospect Park Parade Ground last weekend.

PROSPECT PARK, BROOKLYN – Police released photos of a man they believe raped a woman he tackled inside the Prospect Park Parade Ground. The suspect grabbed the 59-year-old woman by the throat near Parkside Avenue and Parade Place at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The unidentified man pulled her against a van with a green logo on the side where he told her he had a knife and tried to assault her, police said. He then dragged her behind a bench and raped her.

After the attack, the man broke the window of the van and pulled the woman inside, where he tried to sexually assault her again, police said.

Video released by police shows the man running down a Brooklyn street and, later, sporting a dark hooded bubble coat.

The suspect is about 30-years old, stands about 5-foot 11-inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds, police said.
