Shirley Chisholm Democratic Club Partners with Brooklyn NAACP and the Coalition to End Gun Violence taking Flatbush to March on Washington

Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the March On Washington On August 28th, 1963, hundreds of thousands of people from every corner of our country united and rallied with a shared message of civil liberty, civil rights, and economic freedom and opportunity for all. GET ON THE BUS Saturday, August 24th, 2013 Bus Pick-Up Location: Flatbush Junction, Brooklyn Flatbush Avenue & Avenue H (In front of Target) Bus will leave from Brooklyn at 4:00 a.m. and leave Washington, D.C. at 4:00 p.m. Cost: $10 (Proceeds will go to the Trayvon Martin Foundation)

The Coalition to End Gun Violence is made up of a group of organizations who care about ending gun violence and will be remembering the lives of young men that were victims of gun violence by naming the buses in their honor.
