Stranger Attacks Elderly Man Outside Brooklyn Home, Cops Say

Police are looking for the man who punched a 73-year-old man without provocation in Brooklyn Wednesday afternoon.

DITMAS PARK, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the man who, unprovoked, attacked a 73-year-old and sent him to the hospital with a single punch.

The suspect lunged at the elderly man as he stood outside his home on Avenue H and Ocean Avenue at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, said police.

A single punch was all it took to knock the 73-year-old to the ground, said police.

His attacker fled and emergency responders took the elderly man to Maimonides Hospital, where he was treated for injuries on his face and wrist, police said.

Police are now looking for a suspect in his early 30s, standing about 5-feet 6-inches tall, last seen wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and black sneakers.
