Man Slaps 13-Year-Old Girl In Random Brooklyn Attack, Cops Say

Video shows a man lunging at the 13-year-old girl he slapped and grabbed by the throat without saying a word, police said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- A man grabbed a 13-year-old girl by the throat and slapped her in the face during an unprovoked attack in Brooklyn last Tuesday, police said.

The man snuck up behind the teen near Quentin Road and Stuart Street at about 4:30 p.m. on Jan 8, said police.

Surveillance video shows him lunging at the girl who veers away but is unable to escape his attack.

The suspect, who never said a word, ran away after the attack and emergency responders treated the girl at the scene, according to police.

Police released photos and video of the suspect — whom they describe as a 5-foot 5-inches tall 40-year-old man with facial scars — Tuesday morning.

The suspect was last seen wearing a waist length beige jacket, grey jeans, and grey sneakers, police said.
