VIDEO: 2 Men Try, Fail To Rob Flatbush Barbershop At Gunpoint

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Police are searching for two men involved in an attempted gun robbery that occurred Friday evening at Legends Barbershop in Flatbush.

At about 8 p.m., two male suspects entered the barbershop at 1402 Nostrand Ave. and demanded money from the 44-year-old male employee, police told Patch.

One of the suspects took out a silver firearm, while the other suspect attempted to take a gold chain and money from the employee, police said.

The employee refused to comply, and a brief struggle ensued between the employee and the two suspects. The two suspects then fled the scene without stealing anything, police told Patch.

The employee sustained a minor head injury and refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

Police described the first suspect as a black male, approximately 20-25 years of age with a light complexion. The man was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings and black sweatpants with white stripes on the sides. He was in possession of the silver handgun, police said.

The second suspect is described as a black male, approximately 15-20 years of age with a medium complexion. He has short black hair and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a green bubble jacket and gray sweatpants.
