Video: Man Shot Outside Flatbush Barbershop

Surveillance video shows a man firing a gun hidden in his pocket at another man's stomach near a Clarendon Road barbershop, police said.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Surveillance cameras captured video of a man shooting another man with a gun hidden in his pocket in front of a Flatbush barbershop on Friday, police said.

The two men began arguing outside Fifth Unisex Salon at 2177 Clarendon Road around 10:40 p.m. on Feb. 9, police said.

Video shows the shooter taking a step back and looking away as he blasts is 32-year-old victim in the stomach, then turning and slowly walking away.

The 32-year-old staggers and flees after a bright light flashes from the suspect’s pocket.


Emergency responders rushed the bleeding man to Kings County Hospital where he was treated and released, said police.

Investigators are now looking for the shooter, whom they describe as a man in his early 30s, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds, sporting a goatee, hoodie, a wool hat, jeans and black gloves.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police.
