Video Shows Driver Hitting Teen Cyclist, Leaving Scene In East Flatbush
A driver ran over a 16-year-old girl, then fled the scene, police say.
FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Authorities have released surveillance video of what they say is a hit and run involving a 16-year-old girl that happened earlier this summer in East Flatbush.
Early in the afternoon on Saturday, June 11, the teen girl was riding her bike west on Farragut Road, according to police.
When she crossed over East 39th Street, a driver in a white SUV ran her over then drove away northbound, police said. The video shows the car striking the girl, pausing, then driving off.

The girl only sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was released from Kings County Hospital, according to police.
