$10 Meals From 11 Restaurants Coming To NYC

FINANCIAL DISTRICT— Lower Manhattan restaurants will serve $10 boxed lunches Oct. 7 at the fifth annual Lunch Box, an outdoor food fair at Fosun Plaza at 28 Liberty.

The event, hosted by the Alliance for Downtown New York, will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission is free, and organizers will hold the event rain or shine.

Eleven restaurants and food businesses will participate, giving visitors a chance to sample meals from across the neighborhood.

The event will use composting and recycling stations as part of the Downtown Alliance’s zero-waste effort.

What Can Diners Get For $10?

Each restaurant will offer a boxed lunch with a choice of protein and two sides. Drinks will cost extra.

62 William brings a Taiwanese influence to William Street, with pastries, desserts, coffee and specialty drinks. The Financial District cafe occupies a space in one of the neighborhood’s newer clusters of food businesses. The Downtown Alliance listed the restaurant among its 2026 restaurant additions.

Good Coconut puts coconut at the center of its menu, serving fresh coconut water, coconut milk drinks, teas, coffee drinks and coconut-based desserts. The brand operates in Golden Mall FiDi at 47 Broadway and also has a location in Flushing.

Honeybrains takes a health-focused approach to fast-casual dining, with protein-heavy bowls, salads, sandwiches, breakfast dishes and specialty drinks. Founder Marisa Seifan launched the brand in 2016, and the business has since expanded across Manhattan. Its Tribeca location at 136 Church Street now serves the Lower Manhattan neighborhood.

JoJu Vietnamese built its name around modern Vietnamese sandwiches, rice bowls, salads and specialty fries. The brand dates to 2011, when it opened in Elmhurst, Queens, and has since expanded into Manhattan. Its Wall Street location at Golden Mall FiDi brings the chain into the Financial District.

Nio’s Shake centers its menu on protein-rich shakes and other health-oriented drinks, with coffee, matcha, açaí bowls and gluten-free protein waffles rounding out the offerings. Its Financial District shop at 63 Nassau Street joins the neighborhood’s growing collection of quick-service food businesses.

Sadie’s brings a more traditional American menu to the South Street Seaport, with fried chicken, burgers, seafood, salads and bar fare. The restaurant opened in 2026, with service beginning in the spring, and includes an outdoor Garden Bar along the cobblestone streets of the Seaport.

Sammie Thai Hero Sandwiches takes the sandwich in a Thai direction, pairing meats and sauces with ingredients such as Thai basil and papaya slaw. The restaurant appeared on the Downtown Alliance’s list of new Lower Manhattan food businesses in 2026.

Sam Ping’s Chinese BBQ specializes in Cantonese roast meats, including char siu and roast chicken, served with rice in compact lunch boxes. The Financial District shop at 88 Fulton Street operates primarily as a takeout counter, tucked upstairs from street level.

Tacos del Barrio serves Mexican street food, including tacos, burritos, bowls and quesadillas, with house-made salsas and fillings such as al pastor and pollo asado. The brand expanded into Lower Manhattan with its Nassau Street location in 2025.

Terravita Downtown arrived in Battery Park City as the third location from husband-and-wife owners Jose and Stephanie Rosa. The restaurant combines modern American cooking with Mediterranean and Asian influences. The Rosas opened the original Terravita in Washington Heights in 2018, followed by an Edgewater, New Jersey, location in 2021. The Downtown restaurant debuted in fall 2025 at 17 Battery Place.

Urban Cove Society and Kitchen operates inside 33 Hotel in the South Street Seaport, combining a modern American restaurant with a cocktail bar. Its menu ranges from burgers and seafood to brunch dishes, while the dining room gives the hotel a restaurant presence along Peck Slip.
