$16,000 Lift Stolen from World Trade Center: NYPD
The company that owns the lift told police the lift was secured at the end of the shift, but was gone the next morning.

FIDI, NY — Investigation is underway to locate a missing lift that was stolen from the World Trade Center Dec. 15, police told Patch.
The $16,000 lift has an attached crane used to lift workmen and other heavy construction materials. The company said the lift was secured around 9 p.m. on Dec. 15, but was gone the next morning, police told Patch.
The lift was stolen from the World Trade Center mall and transportation hub at 185 Greenwich St. on Dec. 15, but the rental company that owns it reported the theft on Dec. 29, police said.
