NEW YORK CITY — FultonFishMarket.com will host the second annual Loxfest on Saturday, September 19 at Pier 17 in the South Street Seaport, celebrating New York City's enduring bagel-and-lox tradition near the historic former home of the Fulton Fish Market.
The one-day food festival will feature New York establishments serving their own takes on lox. Participating vendors include Casa Cugine, Peck Slip Social, 19 Cleveland, Paris Cafe and Greenberg's Bagels, with additional vendors expected to be announced.
Loxfest will offer two sessions, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. General admission and VIP tickets are open to all ages and start at $25 plus fees. Admission includes entry and one to three food tokens, with additional tokens available for purchase. Guests can also expect samples, giveaways, music and other activities.
The event is presented by Fulton Fish Market and co-produced by Bucket Listers and nexwrk. Organizers say this year's festival will expand on the inaugural event while highlighting the restaurants and food makers continuing New York's lox tradition.
