NEW YORK CITY — The Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) has released its fall events lineup, highlighting a packed schedule of free public programming taking place throughout the neighborhood from September through December.
The fall calendar includes performances, festivals and community celebrations, along with art programs, film series, fitness activities and other events.
The new guide organizes offerings by monthly highlights as well as programming tailored to adults and seniors, school-aged children and preschoolers.
Among the season's featured events is the Illumination Light Art Festival, part of a broader lineup of major cultural and community gatherings planned across Battery Park City.BPCA will also mark Climate Week in September with a full week of environmental programming focused on sustainability, resiliency and environmental education.
Events will explore Battery Park City's long-standing role in environmental leadership and include a symposium with the University of Miami's Climate Resilience Institute focused on Nature-Based Infrastructure for Coastal Resilience.
Additional Climate Week programming will cover topics ranging from spittlebugs and beekeeping to fishing, offering residents and visitors opportunities to learn about the local environment and broader resiliency efforts.
