Man Slashed In City Hall Park, Police Said
Police arrested an individual at City Hall Park for slicing a victim's right shoulder.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — Police arrested an individual at City Hall Park for slicing a man's shoulder, police said.
The attack took place just after 1 p.m. in the green space behind Tweed Courthouse on Chambers Street when the two men got into an argument that turned violent and the attacker pulled out a sharp object and slashed the man's right shoulder, police said.
One man who stopped to eat lunch in the park described the chaotic scene.

"I had just sat down on a bench when I heard screaming and people just started booking it out of the park," said Rinaldo Diaz, who was repairing an elevator at a nearby office building. "It's crazy that this happened here. City Hall is thirty feet away."
The suspect was immediately apprehended, authorities said.
