iPhone Snatcher Nabs Woman's Phone On R Train: NYPD

Police are searching for someone who snatched an iPhone and fled at the Rector St. subway station.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Police are searching for a woman they say snatched a passenger's iPhone on the R train in Lower Manhattan, police said.

The 67-year-old victim was on the southbound R train on Mon., Feb. 25 around 10 a.m., police said. As the train was nearing the Rector St. stop, another woman, possibly a teen girl, walked up and snatched the phone from the victim's hands, according to police.

Police said the suspect fled when the train arrived at Rector St. She is described as 16- to 20-years-old and was wearing pink boots, according to police.
