The baby boy was seen floating in the river by tourists who fished him out.

TRIBECA, NY – Mystery still surrounds the death of a baby boy found floating in the East River Sunday wearing nothing but a diaper.
Police have still been unable to identify the child, who is about 8-months-old, and they have no idea who his parents are, the NYPD said.
The body was found by tourists from Oklahoma who waded into the water near the Brooklyn Bridge and the South Street Seaport around 4 p.m. and fished out the body. One of the tourists, Monte Campbell, told the Associated Press he tried to resuscitate the child.
