NYC Is Getting A Coffee Shop That Serves Coffee With A Side Of Butter
Bulletproof Coffee, famous for mixing butter with their java, has plans to open an NYC outpost.

MANHATTAN, NY — The trendy company that's made coffee mixed with butter a celebrity must-have is looking to open an outpost in NYC.

CEO Dave Asprey told Bloomberg that Bulletproof would add its NYC shop soon. Although he didn't speculate about where in the city the shop would open, he said that Bulletproof's products have long been popular on Wall Street, "so it makes sense to have one in New York City."
The meal-in-a-coffee cup fad is part of a larger diet program by Bulletproof, but the main idea behind it is that if you mix some butter and some special oil into your coffee, your cuppa can substitute for a complete breakfast.

The Silicon Valley-approved cachet that comes with a Bulletproof coffee will cost you: Butter java drinkers need to fork over $4.75 for a medium cup at the company's California stores.
Although many celebrities and fad diet-enthusiasts have endorsed butter coffee, actual nutritionists remain unsure. The miracle cures claimed by Bulletproof coffee, which claims to spur weight loss and keep your brain sharp, haven't been FDA approved, as noted by the fine print on the company's website.
