NYPD Looking For Man Who Tried to Steal Woman's Purse In FiDi Subway Station
The man cut a strap off of the woman's purse and grabbed it, police told Patch.

FiDi, NY — Police are trying to identify a man who attempted to steal a woman's purse inside of the subway station located at Nassau Street and Fulton Street the evening of Nov. 16.
At around 9:27 a.m., the man (pictured above) walked behind the 28-year-old female victim as she was leaving the J line through a turnstile and forcibly grabbed her purse and cut one of the straps of the purse, police told Patch.
The woman struggled with him, resulting in her falling to the ground, police said. The man let go of the purse and fled on foot towards the southbound J platform.

Police described the suspect as a black male, approximately 45-years-old, standing 6-feet tall and weighing about 175 pounds. The man has short black hair and was last seen wearing large frame glasses, black head phones, a navy blue baseball hat, a black jacket with white interior, a black wide neck t-shirt, black pants and was holding a black backpack, police said.
