Over $10,000 Worth of Jewelry Stolen From Tribeca Apartment: NYPD

Eleven pieces of jewelry were stolen in total, like a $2,000 wedding band and a $5,000 engagement ring, police said.

TRIBECA — Various pieces of jewelry worth over $10,000 were reported stolen from a Murray Street apartment in Tribeca, police said.

Eleven pieces of jewelry were stolen, including a pair of jade and gold earrings, a $2,000 wedding band and a $5,000 engagement ring, police said. The jewelry was stolen from a jewelry box and a countertop in the 52-year-old woman's home.

The pieces were believed to be stolen between late October and early December, but the victim reported the crime on Dec. 12, police said.

The woman told police multiple people have access to her apartment, like the babysitter and the cleaning woman. There were no signs of forced entry, police said.
