Project Healthy Minds To Host World Mental Health Day Events In NYC

Speakers will include Karl-Anthony Towns, Terry Crews, Jonathan Haidt, Nina Westbrook and Rich Kleiman.

NEW YORK CITY — Project Healthy Minds has announced the first slate of speakers and programming for its fifth annual free World Mental Health Day Festival, taking place Oct. 10 at Spring Studios in New York City.

Speakers will include Karl-Anthony Towns, Terry Crews, Jonathan Haidt, Nina Westbrook and Rich Kleiman.

The festival will also feature fitness classes and activations led by Sydney Miller, Kelsey Wells, Becs Gentry, Timm Chiusano, Joe Gonzales and Jack Bauer.

The organization will also host its fourth annual World Mental Health Day Gala on Oct. 8 at Spring Studios.

Hosted by Carson Daly, the gala will honor Bill Lawrence with the Project Healthy Minds Storyteller of the Year Award and Chris Barbin with the Humanitarian of the Year Award. DJ Samantha Ronson and fashion designer Naeem Khan, the gala’s Artistic Curator, are also scheduled to participate.
