Sleeping Woman Sexually Assaulted at Bowling Green Station: Police

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — A Bronx man was arrested for sexually assaulting a woman sleeping at the Bowling Green Subway station at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, police said.

According to a police source, the woman, 39, got off the 5 train at the same time as Floriberto Chavez-Garcia, 45, at the Bowling Green Subway Station. The woman told the arresting officer she was in a "deep sleep" when she "felt something unusual" inside her mouth.

According to the police source, Chavez-Garcia put his penis inside the woman's mouth and ejaculated. The arresting officer observed ejaculation on her chin, the police source said.

Chavez-Garcia was charged with criminal sex act in the first degree, criminal sex act in the third degree, sexual misconduct, and public lewdness, police said.
