Thief Steals Over 200 Shellfish Off TriBeCa Delivery Truck: NYPD
An unknown thief stole about $309 worth of seafood from a food delivery truck in TriBeCa, police said.
TRIBECA, NY — Police are searching for a thief who stole multiple boxes of mussels, oysters and clams off the back of a TriBeCa delivery truck last week. The man stole about $309 worth of seafood, police said.
A deliveryman was dropping the shellfish off at the bar Weather Up at 159 Duane St. at around 11 a.m. Jan. 12, when the thief swiped the boxes from the open, parked van, police said.
The boxes contained 100 oysters, 30 mussels and more than 100 clams, police said. The thief placed the boxes on a dolly he also stole from the truck and fled the scene.

Police are still investigating the theft as of Tuesday morning.
