3 East Islip Businesses Burglarized Overnight On Same Block: Police

Three businesses at a Main Street Plaza were broken into after suspects allegedly pried open doors and stole cash, police say.

EAST ISLIP, NY — Detectives are investigating a series of overnight commercial burglaries that targeted three businesses on the same block in East Islip, according to Suffolk County police.

Police said the incidents occurred between April 12 and April 13 along East Main Street, where suspects pried open doors to gain entry and stole cash from inside.

Police said the burglaries occurred at Mr. Tech Bench, South Shore Deli, and El Café, all located within Main Street Plaza.

The pattern — multiple businesses hit in the same location during the same overnight period — is under investigation by Third Squad detectives.

No arrests have been announced, and police have not released a description of the suspect or suspects.
