5th Grader Participates In 37th Annual Day of Tuba And Euphonium

EAST ISLIP, NY - From East Islip School District: Ryan Hilbert, a fifth-grader at East Islip’s John F. Kennedy Elementary School, participated in the 37th annual SCMEA Day of Tuba and Euphonium, held on Nov. 3 at Central Islip High School.

Hilbert, who plays baritone horn, took part in rehearsals and clinics during the festival, and performed a concert with a massed ensemble comprised of more than 300 tuba and euphonium players including elementary, middle and high school students, teachers and guest artists.
