• A Community's Quick Reaction Saves a Refs Life (southshorepress.com) — During a JV girls soccer game between Smithtown East and East Islip, a referee collapsed and was revived thanks to fast CPR and an on-site defibrillator. East Islip families joined Smithtown parents, coaches and staff in the lifesaving response, underscoring how prepared community members and accessible AEDs can make a critical difference at local school sports events.
