Burglary Reported At Historic Brookwood Hall: SCPD
Thieves broke into the 116-year-old building in broad daylight the day the hall was closed.

EAST ISLIP, NY - A burglary was reported at the historic Brookwood Hall in East Islip last week, according to Suffolk Police.
An unknown person or people pried open a door at the 116-year-old building located on 50 Irish Lane on Nov. 29 at 12:30 p.m.
The burglar or burglars stole electronics from the hall before fleeing.

No description of the burglar was available.
According to the hall's website, the building houses one of the main offices that run the Town of Islip. The Islip Arts Council has opened the Local History Gallery in the building.

The website also states that a Town of Islip Recreation Card is required to enter Brookwood Hall.
The building is currently closed on Thursdays. It is open from 8 a.m. 6:15 p.m. on Thursdays from January through August.
