East Islip High School Welcomes New Assistant Principal

EAST ISLIP, NY— Students at East Islip High School will have a new assistant principal.

The East Islip School District recently appointed Michael Hansen, who served as a science teacher for 22 years at Connetquot School District and then, dean of students.

“I look forward to working with the students, staff, and community of East Islip and do my part in helping to attain the level of excellence expected here while sustaining the pride this community has in its schools and young adults," Hansen said.

A Rocky Point resident, Hansen received a bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island, and a master’s degree in education and administrative certification from Stony Brook University.
