East Islip HS Senior Accepted To Naval Academy In Annapolis

From E. Islip Schools: East Islip High School senior Timothy Meier recently was accepted to attend the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland this fall. The future Navy man, whose eventual career goal is mechanical engineering, went through a challenging application process, including obtaining recommendations from Congressman Pete King and Sen. Charles Schumer.

“My brother is in the Navy, where he went through medical school, so that got me interested,” said Meier. “I’ve been thinking about the Navy since middle school, and ever since then, it evolved into going to the Naval Academy.”
