East Islip Man Charged With Assault After Bar Fight: Police

A 23-year-old East Islip man was arrested after he punched another man in the face at a Port Jefferson bar last week, police said.

Daniel Casey was charged with third degree assault after the Halloween night incident at Portside Bar and Grill located at 242 E. Main St.

The man who Casey punched was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said.

Casey was arraigned at First District Court on Nov. 1 and was released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court next month.
