East Islip Middle School Classes Share Library Card Contest Win
Both sixth-grade ELA classes were named co-winners of East Islip Middle School library card contest.
EAST ISLIP, NY - From East Islip Union Free School District: Both of Jennifer Esposito and Shawnette Costarelli ‘s sixth-grade ELA classes achieved an admirable 100 percent library card sign-up rate, making them co-winners of school librarian Valerie Ware-Comneck’s annual contest in support of Library Card Sign-up Month. Each year, the event encourages middle schoolers to obtain library cards.
“Signing up for a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning,” said Ware-Comneck.
