East Islip School Budget Results Are In
East Islip residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote on a school budget and elect board members.
East Islip residents approved the district's $117,081,377 proposed budget on Tuesday by a margin of 1,873 to 933.
The budget represents a 1.80 percent spending increase over the current year and a tax levy increase of 0.70 percent.
In the vote for East Islip Board of Education members, both Jessica Carney and Philip Montuori Sr. ran unopposed. Carney received 1,852 votes and Montuori received 1,704 votes.
