East Islip High School senior Vincent Mariani signed a national letter of intent on Jan. 25 to play soccer for St. Joseph’s College this fall. He will attend the school’s Long Island campus in Patchogue, playing for the Golden Eagles.

A center midfielder, Mariani has been a member of East Islip’s soccer and track teams since middle school, and has also played soccer for a club team. In academics, he has earned honor and high honor roll recognition. His future plans are to study to become an educator and eventually a soccer coach.
