East Islip Students Start Off 2019-2020 School Year

EAST ISLIP, NY - East Islip’s students were eager to meet their new teachers and classmates on Sept. 5 as the first day of school dawned at each of the six buildings – East Islip High School; East Islip Middle School; and Connetquot, John F. Kennedy, Ruth C. Kinney and Timber Point elementary schools.
Students shared memories of their vacations and quickly engaged in the multiple activities that their teachers had planned, ready to learn and grow.

"It was an amazing first day of school at Timber Point," Principal Danielle Naccarato said. "Everywhere you looked there were smiling happy faces ready to learn. It’s going to be a terrific school year."
"It was fabulous to see and feel the tremendous amount of excitement that comes on the first day of a school year," JFK Principal Deborah Smith said. "The first day signifies new beginnings and adventures and the entire staff welcomed our returning students and those new to JFK. We look forward to so many new learning experiences together."
