Man Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver While Standing In His Driveway
The 36-year-old was hospitalized after he was hit by the car in the driveway of his home on Tuesday night, police say.

EAST ISLIP, NY - A man was hospitalized after being struck by a car while standing in the driveway of his East Islip home on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Officers responded to a 911 call of a hit-and-run crash at the Union Boulevard home at 11:25 p.m.
Jorge Gomez-Botero, 36, was next to his parked car in the driveway when a car driving eastbound on Union Boulevard skidded into the driveway and struck both the parked car and Gomez-Botero, police said.

The driver then fled the scene of the crash in his car, police said.
Gomez-Botero was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
