Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Car In East Islip
The woman was struck while crossing the street on Monday evening.

EAST ISLIP, NY - A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in East Islip on Monday evening, according to Suffolk Police.
A woman was walking on Carlton Avenue near Adams Street when she was struck by a 2013 Ford F250 traveling north on Carlton Avenue at 5 p. m.
The pedestrian, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Ford, 53-year-old Patrick Hickey, of East Islip remained at the scene was not injured.
The car was impounded for a safety check.
