PSEG Worker Injured In Transformer Explosion
The worker was responded to a power outage in East Islip when the transformer failed while he was nearby, causing him to be injured.

EAST ISLIP, NY - A PSEG worker was injured while working on a transformer in East Islip on Monday night.
The serviceman was called to Wyandanch Avenue to respond to a power outage at about 6:30 p.m.
While working, the transformer exploded while he was near it, causing him to be injured. He was sent to a local hospital.

He is currently in stable condition and receiving care, according to a PSEG spokesperson.
