Long Island Judge Stole 23-Year-Old Neighbor's Underwear: Cops

The 49-year-old was found with a pair of underwear belonging to the 23-year-old victim of the burglary, according to reports.

EAST ISLIP, NY - A Suffolk County District Court judge was arrested on Thursday for burglarizing his neighbor's East Islip home and stealing her underwear, according to Suffolk Police.

Robert Cicale, 49, entered a home on Donna Place at 9 a.m. and after realizing there was a resident inside the home he fled, police said.

The 23-year-old resident called 911 after she heard a noise and saw a man in her home.

Officers found Cicale, who fit the description given by the resident, a short time later on Rosemary Place about two blocks away, police said.

He was found in possession of underwear belonging to the 23-year-old woman, but it is unknown if they were taken during the burglary Thursday or at an earlier time, Acting Police Commissioner Stuart Cameron said, according to the NY Daily News.

Cicale, who also lives on Donna Place, was charged with second degree burglary.

The former Islip Town attorney will be held overnight at the Third Precinct is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
