Man Jumps From Stuyvesant Town Building, NYPD Says

The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man was critically injured Monday evening after jumping from a building in the Stuyvesant Town residential district, an NYPD spokesman said.

The 47-year-old jumped from a building on East 14th Street between Avenue B and Avenue C around 5:30 p.m., the NYPD spokesman said. The man was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital after suffering critical injuries from the fall, the spokesman said.

The NYPD spokesman could not confirm information about the man's condition after he was transported to the hospital.
