East Village Fire Hurts 1 On East 13th Street, FDNY Says

A fire on East 13th Street Friday afternoon injured one person, FDNY said.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — One person was injured in an East Village fire on East 13th St. Friday afternoon, FDNY said.

The Fire Department was called to 505 East 13th St. between Aves. A and B at 1:53 p.m., a department spokesman said. The fire was out by 2:28 p.m., according to the spokesman.

One person suffered a minor injury but declined medical attention, the spokesman said. The person's age was unclear.

The fire was on the second floor of a four-story building, the spokesman said. City records show the building has 19 units.
