Thief Uses Fire Escape To Rob East Village Apartment: NYPD
The man stole over $4,000 in electronics, jewelry and clothes, police said.

EAST VILLAGE — A man robbed an East Village apartment by entering through the rear fire escape last Monday, police said.
Last Mon., Feb. 25 at about 6 p.m., a 29-year-old man returned to his apartment on East Ninth St. between First and Second Aves. to realize thousands of dollars worth of property was missing, according to police.
The man called the police, who, upon further investigation, discovered the thief entered the apartment through a rear fire escape, police said.

Police said the robber stole $4,200 of electronics, jewelry and clothes.
The thief is described as Hispanic, 20- to 30-years-old, and last seen with a white hat and dark clothing, police said.
