2nd Annual East Hampton Spring Celebration Street Fair Soon
The event drew a huge crowd to East Hampton Village last year. Who else is excited for this year's event?

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A popular event that debuted last year, drawing a huge crowd, is set for its second go round.
The East Hampton Chamber of Commerce's second annual Spring Celebration Street Fair is set to take place on Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Newtown Lane in East Hampton Village.
It's only the second time in more than 300 years, that the village will come alive with a street fair.

During the event, held on Mother's Day weekend Saturday, more than 50 booths will line Newtown, featuring local artists, shopkeepers and more than 30 non-profits — including the Pollock-Krasner House, the East End Children’s Museum, Hamptons International Film Festival, the East Hampton YMCA, East Hampton Historical Society and East Hampton Trails Preservation Society – displaying wares and sharing information.
A Main Street stage will offer live music all day, including bluegrass, folk, and rock.

To make getting around easier Hampton Free Ride will be providing shuttle service from the John Marshall Elementary School parking lot.
Children's activities will include a KIDZONE featuring a climbing wall, jumping castle, face painters, arts and crafts and more. Golden Eagle Arts will be providing a free “Make a Mother’s Day Card” station on the lawn of Eileen Fisher.
New food court
New this year, a food court will offer a tempting array of choices including lobster rolls, shrimp po-boys, BBQ from Townline BBQ, hand-made fried gourmet wontons, wood-fired pizza, homemade beef jerky from Greenport Jerky, homemade pickles from Perfect Pickle, handmade chocolates, baked goods and pre-made sandwiches and salads from Mary’s Marvelous and handmade pretzels.
Beverages will be provided by Sam’s Beverages; village restaurants will also be offering craft beverages.
Yoga and stretch classes will be held on the lawn of Eileen Fisher on Newtown Lane.
Guests can enjoy a sidewalk sale; the Ladies Village Improvement Society, Guild Hall and other businesses are slated to participate.
“It’s a true community event to celebrate spring, as well as to showcase our wonderful businesses and organizations," East Hampton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Steven Ringel said.
Village eateries will also be open all day and offering specials.
