3 Nabbed At Montauk Establishments During SLA Sweep: Police

The compliance checks were conducted Sunday, police say.

MONTAUK, NY — Three individuals were arrested during a State Liquor Authority enforcement sweep in Montauk on Sunday, police said.

According to East Hampton Town police, compliance checks were conducted at several establishments throughout the Town of East Hampton to ensure adherence to the New York State alcoholic beverage control, or ABC, law.

The investigations involved the use of an underage agent who attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages without presenting identification, police said.

As a result of the compliance checks, three individuals were charged with violating ABC Law § 65(1), prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor, police said.

The following individuals were arrested, police said:

- John Caravaggio, 64, of Montauk, was arrested at Dive Bar Pizza, located on West Lake Drive in Montauk, police said.

- Kelsie Bottari, 22, of Syracuse, was arrested at Bounce Beach, located on South Emerson Avenue in Montauk, police said.

- Alicia Alessio, 37, of Doral, Florida, an employee of Barlume Beach, located on E. Lake Drive in Montauk, was arrested at the East Hampton Town Police Department's Montauk precinct, police said.

All three individuals were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in the East Hampton Town Justice Court at a later date, police said.
