They say it's to reduce traffic saturation and pollution while also raising money. Perhaps it's time for the good citizens of East Hampton to return the favor by charging a nice fee for entering Montauk if you are not at East Hampton Town homeowner or resident. One could say we are looking to reduce car pollution and traffic saturation on the small streets of the Hamlet of Montauk.
The money gathered from the EZ-Pass tolls can help relieve the growth of the cost of education to all the public schools in East Hampton town. The electronic net to collect the fees or tolls can be set up on the route 27 bottleneck right where Cyril's used to be.
