Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic gearing up for 19th year
Annual event benefits cancer prevention, research and care
The 19th Annual Ann Liguori Foundation Charity Golf Classic will be played on Thursday, June 8th at the Maidstone Club in East Hampton, N.Y.
The Foundation was started by Ann Liguori, renowned sports broadcaster, talk show host, author and philanthropist.
The charity tournament raises money and awareness for not-for-profits that focus on cancer prevention, care and research including St. Jude Children's Hospital, KIDS NEED MORE, a camp on Shelter Island for children with cancer and their siblings and a variety of organizations that support this cause.

Ann Liguori is the Golf & Tennis Correspondent for WFAN Radio and CBS Sports Radio Network and is the host of the weekly 'Sports Innerview with Ann Liguori' radio show, heard Saturday mornings from 9-10 AM EST on Long Island’s only NPR affiliate WPPB - 88.3 FM, and heard globally on peconicpublicbroadcasting.org. Recently it was announced that her radio show won 'First Place' in the Radio Broadcast category at the 24th Annual International Network of Golf (ING) media awards competition.
The ING Media Awards are presented annually during the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida. This is the fourth time Ann's show has won top honors in this competition.

Each week on 'Sports Innerview,' Ann talks about a variety of sports issues and topics and interviews authors, athletes, coaches, celebrities and experts on all sorts of topics pertaining to sports, fitness and wellness.
In addition to being Executive Producer and Host of 'Sports Innerview, Ann is the owner of over 600 'Sports Innerview' TV shows, featuring Ann interviewing top legends in sports and entertainment.
Portions of a ‘Sports Innerview’ cable show Ann did with John Daly is featured in ESPN's 30 for 30 documentary on Daly.
