Bicyclist Struck by Car in Front of Lobster Roll Restaurant

A bicyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a car in front of the Lobster Roll restaurant, located on 1980 Montauk Highway in Amagansett on Sunday afternoon, according to East Hampton Town Police.

The accident occurred at 12:12 p.m. when the car crossed onto the eastbound lane of Montauk Highway and hit the bicyclist riding on the westbound shoulder, police said.

The bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via helicopter, police said.

The extent of his injuries are still unknown.
