The Luncheon entitled, The Fine Art of Collecting: The Thrill of the Find will be in conversation with Jacqueline Terrebonne of Galerie Magazine who will moderate an exclusive discussion with distinguished art and design insiders Eleanor Acquavella, Meredith Darrow and David Netto. 
“For the first time at our 10th Annual Design Luncheon, we are thrilled to present a panel featuring four engaging leaders in art and design. The Arts Center at Duck Creek (<a href="https://www.duckcreekarts.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.duckcreekarts.org/</a>) is pleased to present the Tim Watson Trio as a part of their 2026 Music Series to perform on Thursday, August 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. The trio features Tim Watson on Guitar, Dion Kerr on Drums and Craig Weinrib on Drums. 

Tim Watson is a 26-year-old Brooklyn-based guitarist, producer, and composer whose idiosyncratic approach to the instrument has taken him from the Village Vanguard and Lincoln Center to collaborative performances with Carnatic artists in Chennai and Ignacio Berroa's trio in Miami. A sought-after sideman, he is a member of groups led by Emmanuel Michael, Nazir Ebo, Brian Richburg Jr., Cisco Swank, and Dion Kerr, and leads his own trio alongside ongoing collaborative projects. In 2023 he premiered BLACKPILL 2023, a theatrical composition for octet inspired by fringe internet communities — a work that speaks to the fearless originality at the heart of everything he does.

J. Mackey Gallery & NJ Caine Architecture

Ellen Ball returns to J. Mackey Gallery after her sold-out show in 2024, with Sailing to Byzantium, a new solo exhibition in East Hampton. Ball's work explores the ways women construct and perform an identity through beauty, adornment, and self-expression. She is interested in how clothing, jewelry, and ritual become both personal armor and cultural language. Her contemporary figures draw on the visual traditions of Byzantine icons and Renaissance portraiture, existing somewhere between portrait, relic, and icon. The exhibition takes its inspiration from W.B. Yeats' celebrated poem Sailing to Byzantium, particularly its meditation on the desire to transcend mortality by becoming something crafted, gilded, and enduring.
Ellen Ball began her artistic career in New York City while living in downtown New York and later Brooklyn. She went on to be inspired by the city, its many industries, cultures, and energy itself. Ball's background as a graphic designer and illustrator for the beauty industry influences her work, evident in her choices of imagery and application.&nbsp;While pursuing her BFA from Denison University, she attended Studio Arts Centers International in Florence, Italy. After graduating, she went on to study graphic design at Parsons School of Design and painting at the New York Studio School with Graham Nickson.&nbsp;Throughout her artistic career, Ball has collaborated with influential artists and photographers. In 2024, her solo summer show "Beyond Your Glittering Eyes" at J. Mackey Gallery featured a collaboration with legendary rock photographer Mick Rock.&nbsp;Ball has presented several solo exhibitions in New York City, including with LOOC Art on the Lower East Side. Her work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions throughout New York City and the East End of Long Island, including the 2026 Women in Art exhibition at the New York Stock Exchange.&nbsp;Her work can be found among international private collections and those of prominent figures.&nbsp;
J. Mackey Gallery represents established as well as emerging artists with an emphasis on the rich artistic history of Long Island. Highlighting artists from Brooklyn to Montauk, the gallery features celebrated Long Island artists including Phyllis Baker Hammond, Eliza Geddes, Arthur Pinajian, Ellen Ball, and Chris Kelly. Through a series of exhibits and lectures, the gallery explores the artistic process and cultural context of contemporary works examining 20th and 21st-century painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, and photography.&nbsp;

Navy Beach has announced increasing its local philanthropic support this season with additional efforts to support the local community. In addition to the 6th annual East Hampton High School scholarship program, Navy Beach is partnering with three East End organizations to help raise awareness and funds through a Support Local dine + donate program from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. A $1 donation will be added to each dining check during these dates, with the restaurant matching the first $500 raised each month. Organizations that will be supported include:

Widely known as Ambassador Sujay, the visionary trailblazer and transformational leader has broken barriers across government, ministry, academia, and media. Her distinguished public service and international leadership have earned her recognition as one of the world’s leading voices in faith diplomacy, peace building, and cross-cultural engagement. Come celebrate her story with us and then stick around for the Q&amp;A at the end of the program. 
Appointed by President Barack Obama and nominated by Hillary Clinton, she became the first woman and the first African American to serve as U.S Ambassador for International Religious Freedom, advising the President and Secretary of State on global religious freedom and policy issues across nearly 200 nations. She remains the only Black woman from New York State to hold the title of U.S. Ambassador. 
Ambassador Sujay was also the first African American woman elected senior pastor in 200-year history of the American Baptist Churches USA. She also served for 21 years as the first female chaplain of the NYPD, ministering on the front lines during the September 11th attacks, helping New York and our nation through traumatic times, and earning recognition as “America’s Chaplain.” 
She is also a local legend. The best-selling author hosts a local television program on LTV called “Live with Sujay” and focuses on Black women leaders and East End Headliners.

The Hamptons Dance Project pairs premiere dancers from ballet and modern dance with master choreographers to present classical repertoire reimagined alongside innovative new works with a modern sensibility. Now in its 8th year, and again led by artistic director Jose Sebastian, this year's series returns to a private, breathtaking outdoor venue with address provided upon registration (or LTV Studios, in case of rain) on Aug. 7, 8, and 9 starting at 6 p.m.
Dancers for HDP Season VIII include ABT artists Sierra Armstrong, Aran Bell, Lauren Bonfiglio, Tristan Brosnan, Finnian Carmeci, Fangqi Li, Tyler Maloney, Sun Mi Park, Jose Sebastian, Hee Seo, Cory Stearns, Ingrid Thoms, and James Whiteside. Guest artists include Jared Alexander and Jenna Maslechko.
HDP VIII will feature ballets from returning choreographers Jorma Elo, Resident Choreographer, Boston Ballet; Justin Peck, Tony winner and Resident Choreographer, New York City Ballet; and two ballets from ABT Principal Dancer James Whiteside. New choreographers include ABT dancer Duncan Lyle and renowned American choreographer Lar Lubovitch. Guest tap artist Jared Alexander is returning for his third season. Singer and musician Rozzi will perform her song “Joshua Tree” to choreography by James Whiteside, and composer and pianist David Evans returns to accompany the ballet by Lar Lubovitch.

One of the most popular and celebrity-studded events of the Hamptons’ summer calendar, Authors Night features 100 authors across all genres. The “Premier Literary Event of the Hamptons” has grown over its history to become one of the most successful celebrations of books and authors in America, and one of the largest library-author events of its kind in the country.

The evening begins at 5 pm with the Authors Cocktail Party reception under a grand tent, where guests enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres and wine, meet and mingle with the authors, buy their books, and have them personally inscribed. At 8 pm, guests with higher level tickets continue the evening at one of the Author Dinner Parties, held at private area homes in honor of one or more of the guest authors.

The Son’s of Town Hall’s bewitching melodies and intricate guitar work are captivating in their own right, but this duo does more than simply sing and strum. They have invented an entirely new performance genre—part concert, part theater, part performance art—and have also created a wild comic-fiction podcast called <a href="https://sonsoftownhall.com/madmencrossthewater/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Madmen Cross The Water,</a> which tells their adventures in elaborate detail. Listeners and concertgoers alike are left transfixed and transformed, in awe of Sons of Town Hall’s harmonies and drunk on adventure and the tragic beauty of the human condition. 
This Concert has been programmed in tandem with our Summer Exhibition <a href="https://www.thechurchsagharbor.org/this-land-considering-the-american-landscape" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">THIS LAND: Considering the American Landscape</a>, which can be viewed June 21 – September 6 during our exhibition hours 11 AM – 5 PM, Thursday-Monday. The show is a whimsical collision of the 19th century and today’s music – a fun and surprising reflection of the elements of the exhibition.
