Join OFVS for some of the BEST Hip Hop in the Hamptons this summer with our friend, the legendary Sean Green! Sean Green is an internationally known choreographer who has traveled worldwide to share his knowledge of dance through workshops. He has done choreography for the Miami Heat dancers, been a judge for the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders, choreographed the Serena Williams Super Bowl routine, his own comp team is a 2017 NY World of Dance champion and so much more. We are honored to welcome him back for the 5th summer of Hip Hop workshops at OFVS! Class is open to all levels and students in grades 2-6. Class size is limited to 12 students so register ASAP to save your spot!

Saturdays, 9am-12:30pm. For ages 3-12yrs. **Spend a magical Saturday morning with us on the farm&nbsp;where your child will spend the day outdoors in nature!** Each week, children care for our animals by feeding, cleaning, and grooming—then dive into a special themed experience like&nbsp;art, gardening, nature, science, cooking, or a focused session with a featured animal. Our nurturing farm environment helps campers thrive as they build confidence, teamwork, and a deep love for animals and the outdoors. Rain or shine, every Saturday is filled with learning, creativity, and joyful connection to nature. On rainy or cold days, we’ll cozy up in our barn and classroom as our animals are inside their stalls. Adjacent to our barn is our cozy classroom where children love to play and create art in our art studio.

The birds are back! <a href="https://www.marders.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Marders</a> invites the community to a special Birds of Prey event on Saturday, August 22, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., featuring rescued birds from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center.
Guests of all ages will have the unique opportunity to meet these remarkable birds up close while learning about their behaviors, habitats, adaptations, and the important role they play in the local ecosystem. Representatives from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center will introduce guests to the birds and share insight into the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife on the East End.
A favorite returning event at Marders, Birds of Prey offers an engaging way for families and nature lovers to connect with some of the area’s most fascinating wildlife while learning more about the importance of protecting and preserving their natural habitats.

ARTS CENTER AT DUCK CREEK FARM

<a href="https://www.duckcreekarts.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Arts Center at Duck Creek</a>has announced a solo exhibition by Pam Brown, Bound by Wire and Time, will be on display in the Little Gallery from August 22nd
through September 27th, with an opening reception on August 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Artist Pam Brown constructs skeletal, artifact-like sculptures that are built from wire, sheet metal, and salvaged materials. Inspired by wildlife, extinction, and American history, the forms reference animal and human anatomy. Delicate and sometimes whimsical, they utilize positive and negative space to allow light and air through their open structures. 

Her process is deliberate and painstaking. Shapes are cut from sheet metal with scissors and assembled or "darned" together using sewing techniques, with metal and wire standing in for fabric and thread. This approach consciously evokes both domestic craft traditions and early industrial manufacturing, re-contextualizing gendered labor as something corporeal and emblematic, distinct from the heavy-handed conventions of traditional sculpture.

Let Lola Lama entertain you! Join us for a very special concert with Whatever Lola Wants, commissioned in response to our summer exhibition This Land: Considering The American Landscape. Lola Lama, the front woman of Whatever Lola Wants and recent BFA Drama Graduate from the New Studio on Broadway at NYU Tisch, takes audiences on a journey through the American Musical Theater landscape. Performing classics like “Whatever Lola Wants” from Damn Yankees and “Can’t We Be Friends” from Fine and Dandy, while offering the fascinating history behind them. 
Lama is joined by Whatever Lola Wants bandmates Matthew Brand
on keyboard and Dylan Hewett on bass.Learn about your favorite showtunes, uncover the transformations in Musical Theater history, and enjoy a one of a kind performance by rising stars of the East End.

The Jay Heritage Center in Rye, New York will celebrate America at 250 with a toast to Jay Medal honorees Pulitzer Prize-winning author Annette Gordon-Reed, the Carl M. Loeb University Professor at Harvard University and award-winning Lincoln historian Harold Holzer.
The Jay Medal for Service was created in 2012 to recognize individuals who demonstrate a selfless spirit of commitment to and engagement with their community mirroring the multifaceted contributions of John Jay and his descendants. These honorees have demonstrated through their life's work that our shared narratives as a country, complicated as they are, can be better illuminated through the highest caliber of ongoing scholarship and advocacy. Honorees are selected for their excellence in the fields of American history, environmental stewardship, social justice or civic engagement.
Joining the celebration will be Chief Judge of the State of New York and the New York Court of Appeals, Honorable Rowan D. Wilson and historian and philanthropist Elihu Rose who will present the awards at JHC's annual Soirée. Special guests will include David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman, and Beverly Gage.

The Jay Medal Soirée will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Jay Estate from 5:30-9:30pm. Cocktails, dinner, award ceremony and dancing. Cocktail Attire.
