Designed for middle and high school students with 2–3 years of lyrical or contemporary dance experience, this 90-minute Our Fabulous Variety Show class gives students the opportunity to deepen their technique, build strength and endurance, and grow as expressive dancers. Students will build upon their foundation in ballet and jazz while exploring Contemporary, a blend of jazz, modern, and lyrical that emphasizes expressive movement, and Lyrical, a blend of ballet and jazz that focuses on the storytelling quality of music. Classes will incorporate dedicated technique and dance conditioning, including floor work, across-the-floor combinations, strengthening exercises, and improvisation, while encouraging students to develop their individuality and self-expression as dancers.
Full semester dates: 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/19. 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16 & 11/23
No classes on 9/21 & 10/12
