Join Our Fabulous Variety Show after school for Club Dance, a weekly dance program where students can explore the joy of movement and try a variety of genres! Students will build confidence, coordination, and performance skills while learning choreography and exploring genres including tap, hip hop, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and more. Each week, our teaching artists will introduce students to a different style of dance through fun combinations, technique, and performance activities. Club Dance is a great way for students to experience multiple genres of dance all in one program, without adding multiple nights to the family schedule! No previous dance experience is required. A snack will be provided as well. We recommend that students wear comfortable clothing and bring a refillable water bottle. Students that don't have dance shoes will be provided with them. Students will be walked over from JMMES after school at 3pm. Club Dance only meets on days that school is in session Tuesday September 15 - Tuesday, November 24. No class on November 3.
Thanks to a grant from NY State Assemblyman Tommy John Schiavoni and the NYS Office of Child and Family Services, Club Dance is FREE! Please consider making a donation to support the OFVS Scholarship Fund as we continue to provide access to high-quality performing arts education for children and families in our community.
Students will also have the opportunity to perform in the showcase performance at Guild Hall in December! Participants will receive professional photos and videos of the performance, one costume, one complimentary ticket, and access to cast-rate tickets for the production.
