<a href="https://wildliferescuecenter.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center</a> will bring some of its remarkable feathered ambassadors to Marders in Bridgehampton for Birds of Prey at Marders on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The special afternoon program offers guests the opportunity to meet rescued birds of prey from the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center and get an up-close look at some of Long Island’s most fascinating wildlife. Through the experience, attendees will have the chance to learn more about the birds, their unique characteristics and the important roles raptors play in the local ecosystem.
The Center’s Education Birds serve as ambassadors for their wild counterparts, helping connect members of the community with native wildlife while encouraging a greater understanding of the importance of protecting local species and their habitats.
Birds of Prey at Marderswill take place at Marders, 120 Snake Hollow Road, Bridgehampton, NY 11932, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 12.

The Jay Medal for Service was created in 2012 to recognize individuals who demonstrate a selfless spirit of commitment to and engagement with their community mirroring the multifaceted contributions of John Jay and his descendants. These honorees have demonstrated through their life's work that our shared narratives as a country, complicated as they are, can be better illuminated through the highest caliber of ongoing scholarship and advocacy. Honorees are selected for their excellence in the fields of American history, environmental stewardship, social justice or civic engagement.
Joining the celebration will be Chief Judge of the State of New York and the New York Court of Appeals, Honorable Rowan D. Wilson and historian and philanthropist Elihu Rose who will present the awards at JHC's annual Soirée. Special guests will include David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman, and Beverly Gage.
