LTV Studios is pleased to announce the launch of Storytelling Monthly, a series of inspirational sessions designed to serve the creative community of the East End. On one Sunday per month from 4 to 7 p.m., writers across genres are welcomed to bring works in progress for input from teachers and peers, hear from an esteemed guest storyteller, and review aspects of storytelling.
The program is led by Jerome Gary, who has directed, produced, and/or written a number of films and limited series, including “Pumping Iron,” “Stripper,” “The Laughs,” “The Gathering,” and three seasons of “On the Road in America.” He was also on the screenwriting and directing faculty at the American Film Institute and USC for many years.
The series kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 15, with Gary along with the day’s guest, Arturo G Muñoz, formerly a senior and highly decorated member of the C.I.A. He has written a number of books and articles as well as a screenplay. He is currently writing: “A History of Covert Operations: Lessons Learned” for the CIA and the Rand Corporation.
The cost to attend is $20 in advance (plus online processing fee) and $25 at the door. These and all future dates will be listed on the LTV website, www.ltveh.org.
